Day 1
Depart through
the busy town of Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park,
which is known for its abundance of elephants. Morning game drive
and a picnic lunch in the park. Then off again for a game drive
in the afternoon. Relax as the sun sets over sweeping grand views
of Tarangire or take a swim at the lodge’s pool. Drive to
your campsite or stay over at the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Breakfast at
your lodge or your campsite. Enjoy an early morning game drive:
mornings at Tarangire are brilliant. Depart for the Serengeti
National Park, famous for wildebeest migration. You will pass
by the Ngorongoro Crater and take in the fantastic views over
the crater. Game drive to the Olduvai Gorge where the remains
of early man were found (Australopithecus boisei). Game drive
and picnic lunch on route to the endless plains of the Serengeti.
Afternoon game drive and back to your lodge or your campsite for
dinner and overnight.
Day 3
After an early
breakfast, depart for your game drive experiencing the rich expanse
of the Serengeti, home to various species of birds, animals and
famous for its lions. Lunch at your lodge or your campsite, “time
for a shower and a rest” then off again for a late afternoon
game drive. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or your campsite.
Day 4
Very early morning light breakfast, game drive in the Serengeti
National Park, experience the fantastic sunrise, the ecosystem
of the acacia Savannah, ‘Kopjes’ and of course the
wildlife. If you decide to book separately an early morning Balloon
Safari, where you depart at 4.00am to experience dawn over the
Serengeti. Enjoy a Champagne/English breakfast under the acacia
trees. Please arrange this with your driver/guide the day before.
Drive back to your lodge or your campsite for brunch. Game drive
en route to the Ngorongoro Crater. Dinner and overnight at your
lodge or campsite.
Day 5
After breakfast
depart to one of the Natural Wonders of the World. The Ngorongoro
Crater. Drive down the steep descent into the Crater, visit the
Massai and experience the amazing ecosystem that supports the
rich animal life grazing in the Grand Caldera. Picnic lunch at
the Ngoitoktok Springs, then proceed around the Crater to view
other wildlife and the beautiful flamingos. Enjoy the fantastic
views as you ascend the crater and drive to your lodge or campsite
at Lake Manyara for dinner and overnight.
Day
6
Enjoy the fantastic views of the lake as you have breakfast.
Depart to Lake Manyara National Park. Picnic lunch in the park,
continue game drive to view several varieties of birdlife, baboons
and the incredible hippos. Return to Arusha Town before night
fall where your driver/ guide will take you to your hotel or lodge.
